The primary difference lies in the base metal. PPGI uses a hot-dip galvanized (zinc-coated) steel substrate, offering excellent basic corrosion protection. PPGL uses a galvalume substrate (coated with 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon), which provides superior heat reflectivity and significantly higher corrosion resistance, especially in harsh or coastal environments.
PE (Polyester) is the most common and cost-effective coating, ideal for standard roofing and cladding in moderate climates. PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) is a premium coating that offers exceptional resistance to UV radiation, chalking, and chemical exposure.
