Galvanized Steel Coil — GI & Galvalume Solutions

Explore Our Galvanized Steel Series

Galvanized and Galvalume steel coils are the backbone of modern construction and manufacturing, offering an exceptional balance of structural strength and environmental protection. Through a continuous hot-dip process, the cold-rolled steel substrate is coated with a protective layer—either pure zinc (GI) or an aluminum-zinc alloy (GL)—which acts as a sacrificial barrier against rust and corrosion.

At Luyuan Steel, we supply coils tailored to your exact industrial requirements, from ultra-thin 0.12mm roofing materials to robust 4.0mm structural grades. Our coils are certified to international standards (ASTM, EN, JIS) and are ready for further processing, roll-forming, or immediate application.

    Exceptional Corrosion Resistance

Whether you choose our Z275 heavily galvanized coils or our AZ150 galvalume coils, our products provide a reliable, long-lasting barrier against moisture and oxidation, extending the lifespan of your end products.

  • Wide Dimensional Range

    Wide Dimensional Range

We cater to diverse industrial needs by offering an extensive thickness range from ultra-thin 0.12mm up to heavy-duty 4.0mm, with widths customizable up to 1,500mm to minimize your material waste during processing.

  • Versatile Surface Finishes

    Versatile Surface Finishes

We offer complete control over the aesthetic and functional finish of your steel. Choose from regular, minimized, or zero spangle, along with surface treatments like Anti-Fingerprint (AFP) to enhance handling and secondary coating adhesion.

  • High-Strength Structural Grades

    High-Strength Structural Grades

Beyond standard commercial quality (DX51D/SGCC), we supply high-tensile structural grades (such as G550 and S350GD) specifically engineered for load-bearing applications like roofing purlins and steel framing.

  • Strict Quality Control

    Strict Quality Control

Every coil is produced under ISO 9001 standards and undergoes rigorous testing for coating adhesion, thickness tolerance (±5% or better), and mechanical properties. Full Mill Test Certificates (MTC) are provided.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Should I choose Galvanized (GI) or Galvalume (GL) steel?

Galvanized steel (GI) is highly cost-effective and provides excellent protection for most standard construction and indoor applications. Galvalume (GL), with its aluminum-zinc coating, offers superior heat reflectivity and up to 6 times the corrosion resistance of GI in harsh, highly corrosive, or coastal environments.

  • What is the difference between regular, minimized, and zero spangle?

Spangle refers to the visible crystalline structure on the zinc surface. Regular spangle is standard and cost-effective. Minimized spangle has a finer, less visible pattern. Zero spangle is completely smooth, making it the ideal choice for applications where the steel will be painted or where a flawless surface appearance is required.

  • What is AFP (Anti-Fingerprint) treatment?

AFP is a specialized clear coating applied over the galvanized or galvalume surface. It prevents fingerprint smudges during handling, improves resistance to black rust, and provides an excellent primer-like surface for subsequent painting or adhesive applications.
